One brave reader, Silverthorne16, publicly addressed the brunt of remarks the silent majority have inundated me with in their DMs. I never meant to leave anyone hanging. I originally intended for this to be a short story (opinions vary, but the consensus is under 7500 words). 27,000 words later, I have clearly failed. In his OP, he specifically asked: “Did Kyle survive? Did she go to prison? Did Martin end up with her mother? Was the fetish shop forced to close?”
Okay, okay… To lay some of this to rest, I will write an addendum. (Conclusion? What do you call an epilogue to an epilogue? An afterward?) Maybe I’ll change it to Chapter 8 and write another epilogue… ANYWAY… I really need to get back to my other WIPs as Rottweiler, but I will try to finalize this tale and have it posted by Indigenous Awareness Day (11/28).
