I am taking a break from posting to focus on other things. Nothing dramatic or health-related; I am doing great. I just have a lot of pressing tasks that I cannot afford to put off. With better weather, I can care for them: fixing my roof, paving my driveway, adding solar panels for backup power, establishing my chicken coop, upgrading my rainwater collection system, reorganizing the garden, etc. It's a lot of little things, but they add up, and they all need doing. This is not to say I will no longer be writing--far from it. That will continue, as will the revision of Below The Belt, but without the subtle pressure of deadlines and expectations. I imagine I will be back at it by June. Until then, stay frosty, my friends. Rotty
I had a successful (repeat) nerve ablation to my mid-lower back last Friday and I am feeling 1000% better! Thank you to everyone who messaged me kind words and thoughts. Looking forward to getting back at it and pounding out some more chapters to The Boy Scout. Rotty
Hey everyone, for those who asked, Chapter Nine is done; I just need to make corrections and edits before I submit it. It's been slow going for me with this intense cold snap that we enjoyed last week. My back is bad enough as it is (awaiting the ablation in early February,) but the wicked cold makes it especially uncomfortable (there is a reason I moved to Tennessee from Montana). Things are starting to warm up, and I am finally scheduled to have the nerves re-fried so that life is better. I'll get the next chapter out this weekend. Rotty
I am super excited to share the new cover design by the renowned Sienna from White Rose Publishing Services. As the book nears completion and goes into final editing, I'm hoping she will help me design a couple of marketing trailers to promote it. -Rotty
I just submitted chapter seven. I realize the last chapter was a bit of a cliffhanger. This will conclude Part One of the book. I am working diligently on the next part but the submissions will be delayed as it gets busy. Hey, WW3 is a bitch! Especially when it happens in your hometown. As I mentioned in the story comments, I am awaiting a back-numbing procedure that will solve 90% of my discomfort (sometime in the next three weeks, I hope). Life will be much better then, and I will be able to focus. I beg your patience in the meantime. More to come.
