During the temporary disruption of SOL days ago, I decided to revise one of my past stories to remove any underaged situations.
The process took longer than I expected, and around the midpoint of my efforts, the restrictions were lifted.
I decided to continue my work, while adding new content and illustrations.
Sunday night (Apr. 6), I completed and submitted the new revised edition of my story, which, as usual, was rapidly posted on SOL. (Thanks!)
Lunchtime Monday, after being available for (literally) only hours on the site, my story showed 740 downloads and a breathtaking early score from eight kind and generous voters.
I cannot express how I feel toward those who took the time to read and to vote on this 36,000 word novella.
For an unpaid author, this response is profoundly validating.
I can only compare the feeling to kisses from the woman I love.
Also, I hope that some may add comments along with their votes. I've found your comments (positive and negative both) truly useful for improving my writing.
