Sorry about the slowdown, things have got busy in real life for a bit. I always finish my stories so don't give up on Saffie and the others :) Chapter 14 is under way.
I've just had yet another go at this story, with version 2.5. My problem with it has always been that Douglas loves Faye but he can't end up marrying her because they are so unequal. So the story degenerated from an intimate first half to my usual teen orgy nonsense in the second, and in the process it lost the feeling.
So now I've tried to keep the focus more on Faye and maintain the mood, without giving up on the basic plot. If any readers feel like commenting on this, ideally in the public Comments at the end, I'd be very grateful.
The babies thing at the end of 'If I Told Her to Take Her Clothes Off She Just Would' was a bit parachuted in, fair comment, so I've redone it. I've tried to make the rest of it a bit more believable too (an uphill task I know) by bringing out some causality, so hopefully the whole thing works a bit better now.
but I've changed the title of "I'm Soooo Bored, Uncles!" completely, to "A Niece Holiday in the Sun".
It dawned on me that the niece (/daughter/sister) Lara is the one character whose head we are never in - she is the one who is everyone else's focus - so a title that sounded like it's a first person narrative from her was a bit misleading.
I still have a faint feeling there's a better title out there somewhere though!

Now the first rush of readers is over I finally HAD to change Alistair to something else, after stupidly creating two main characters' names both starting A L I and then an S sound! Can't believe I did that. There is some ghastly instinct to get in a groove with names isn't there, if you don't pay attention. Anyway now he is Douglas.
